Richmond City Council August 22, 2023 Summary
On August 22, 2023, a specially scheduled meeting of the Richmond City Council was held at the Park Community Center in Richmond, Utah. Mayor Paul Erickson chaired the meeting, which commenced at 7:00 P.M. UPDATE ON COG (COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS) APPLICATION
The Mayor discussed a public hearing that took place at the county council meeting regarding their COG (Council of Governments) application. Matt Phillips, the Cache County Public Works Director, presented the project, which is valued at just over one million dollars. The engineering for the project is 90% complete and costs approximately $55,000. The available funding for the project is around $6,600,000, with final approval coming from local mayors.

The meeting began with a motion to close the regular council meeting and open an executive session. Those present during the executive session included Mayor Erickson, Tucker Thatcher, Lyle Bair, Kelly Crafts, Terrie Wierenga, and Amber Ervin. Justin Lewis attended part of the meeting. After the executive session, there was a motion to close it and reopen the regular council meeting, which was followed by a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:06 P.M.
